directly From the fields to the world: saffron and botanicals for nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and beyond.

what we do

At Sativus NV, we are passionate about producing and sourcing some of the world’s most valuable natural ingredients. Our roots lie in the cultivation of Crocus sativus (saffron) and Berberis vulgaris (barberry), traditions that continue to define our expertise today.

In addition to saffron and barberry, we carefully develop and source a range of premium botanical ingredients, including black lime and guava leaves from Nigeria.

Our saffron is cultivated in regions where abundant sunlight and unique climatic conditions create the perfect environment for growth. Harvesting this exceptional spice is highly labor-intensive—requiring around 190 flowers to produce just one gram.

We manage the entire process from cultivation and harvesting to packaging and laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality at every stage. All independent testing is carried out in accordance with ISO 3632-1:2011 and ISO 3632-2:2010, fully aligned with European regulations and strict ethical sourcing standards.

By working directly with farmers, we guarantee full traceability and transparency throughout our supply chain. As one of the few companies authorized to test saffron for pesticide residues under European Regulation 396/2005, we are committed to delivering outstanding quality, safety, and authenticity to customers worldwide.

Mission : To satisfy  the needs of  our customers with respect to quality over quantity.
